Happy Wednesday creative friends!
What fun it was to kick off the year with a fun coloring contest. Participants pulled out their pens, pencils, glitter, decorative papers, crayons and more and went to town. So inspiring! Shown here is the winner that I picked...Stacy Thibert....I love her colors and all of the extra embellishments...so pretty. And kitty Bruno picked Jo Murray as a winner. Recently, I did a Shop Swap through oh, hello friend. They paired etsy shops up and we swapped goodies. My swap partner was Ruby from Thursday CraftLove in the Philippines. She is such a sweetie and just look at the wonderful treasures she sent me. I love this necklace that she made with the ombre blues! And look at the cute kitty bookmarks. She even tucked in a hand typed letter. (note to self: get a typewriter!)

What a fantastic idea! Now I'm dying to make one too. I can just imagine collaging one up ARTchix style...maybe even adding some charms to dangle from the bottom? Perhaps pressing some sequins and pins into the cork? Oh, so many ideas are racing through my head.

You know how I love my wine corks (and wine for that matter, lol!) Not too long ago, I added our ARTchix wood light bulbs and gears to wine corks to turn them into stamps.

And this morning, I thought...why not use a wine cork as a stamp for a background? I will definitely be experimenting with this idea some more.

Will have to pass on the wine corks Helga as I don't drink! Great idea though.
Thanks for the coloring contest, it was lots of fun and I think I might take the ladies and use my Xacto knife to put them on another strata.

Great idea to use the wine corks to make a perfect craft. Good to see ARTchix wood light bulbs and gears to wine corks to turn them into stamps.
