Hey art friends! Hope you're having a great week! : )
Look what a found in the book store recently! The new copy of Stampington's Take Ten and the card on the cover includes an ARTchix paper doll! Woohoo!!
...
I must say that I really enjoyed this issue. I love quick and easy projects and ideas. And when I found this brilliant idea to adhere wood pieces to wine corks (like the ARTchix wood hearts in the article), I raced down to my studio immediately.
...
I collect wine corks so I've always got a good supply at hand. lol. I tried using double stick tape to adhere the wood gears and wood lightbulb to the corks but it wasn't strong enough. I had to use white glue and wait for it to dry. Sigh....waiting for the glue to dry was the hardest part.
But once the glue was dry, I pulled out my Staz On ink pad and started stamping. Cool, eh?
...
Steampunk tissue paper for the holidays? : )
...
I didn't stop there...I just had to try our antlers! They're too big for wine corks but I adhered them to an acrylic block with double stick tape...dabbed them in some acrylic paint and voila!
...
I started stamping antlers on everything, lol. Wouldn't it be cute to wrap gifts in these little decorated bags?
...
A big congrats to Joan Neilan for being published in this issue with a lovely ARTchix image. ARTchix was mentioned as a source so she gets a $20 gift certificate to ARTchix, woohoo! If you're ever published with ARTchix art...be sure to email me pics to claim your gift certificate.
...
A special digi download for you today! Joan Neilan made such a pretty card with the cutie on this collage sheet. I thought you'd have fun playing with it too.
To get your free digi download, simply email us at blogfreebie@artchixstudio.com. Note: it's for personal use only. Not for resale.
See you next week with some new holiday art goodies that will make your last minute holiday gift making a breeze! : )
Oh Helga! I love the ideas to make stamps out of some of the wood items. Will have to use the plain ones I have. Congratulations on ArtChix Studio getting the cover on Take Ten. Love the paper dolls.
Thanks for the digifreebie!

I especially love your "antlers on everything" concept, LOL! I think I forgot to tell you that I´ve had an ARTchix piece in the Stampers´ Sampler Catch up issue Vol. 16/2012, page 120. You can see it on my blog here:

I had sent two ARTchix cards, but they´ve only printed one of them.

I'm reminded of those awesome poppy papers you made for one of those Stampington publications. I can't bring myself to use them - they must be hoarded instead!
PS: I got my WONDERFUL metal bits today in the mail; just love getting Artchix stuff 'cause the envy is so amazing. Tell your kitties thank you for being such good prize winner pickers! :)

I love the Stampers Sampler magazines. Also, Somerset Studio. I found them at a local used book store. I'm a part of a card making group. Once a friend had an online year challenge that you make a paper dress for each month. I suggessted that to my card making group for 2013. That we all make one paper dress and do a swap. Have a great day. Christine
