Hello wonderful art friends!
It was Jackie's birthday last week and we had a fun, little party to celebrate! Here we all are, from left to right: Kathy Cameron, Cindy McMath, me, Brenna Gerow, Jackie McColl (the birthday girl) and Cynthia Curtis.
...
No party is complete without tastey treats. Kristin Abrames made the best cupcakes ever: pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and a caramel center. To die for! Note the cute little turquoise "J" for Jackie. : )
...
Every birthday party needs gifts too, right? I wrapped this one up for Jackie. It's funny because I didn't have enough wrapping paper so I combined 2 pieces of wrapping paper for this one....love how it turned out.
...
What was inside?! A collection of art bits in her favorite color! I got this handy plastic organizer from Michaels and had so much fun filling each container.
...
I just had to show this to you. Jackie upcycled her birthday gift wrap into this beautiful box!
...
Ta da! She simply turned a tea box inside out and then covered the outside. WOW, great idea!
...
Okay, back to the party! I set out ARTchix wood ornaments, paints, glitter, ribbons, collage sheets, glues and assorted art bits and let everyone dive in and go to town.
Love these ornaments that Jackie made! She added pics of her adorable kitties to our Steampunk, Lightbulb and Russian Nesting Doll ornaments. Love! She painted all of them with gesso and then added pink highlights with watercolor crayons, pink glitter glue and rhinestones. So pretty!
...
And just look at the back of her Lightbulb Ornament...she covered it with Hello Kitty duct tape! Great idea!
...
I, too, am a big fan of our Lightbulb Ornaments. I painted mine with acrylic paints and added a Pink Water Lily inside the frame - a perfect fit!

Aww, I couldn't forget a dose of cuteness for today. Look at my fluffy Bruno giving himself a bath in the midst of our crafting mess. lol.
You know what? This party was so much fun! We all made our holiday ornaments in under an hour. That's how fast, easy and fun it is! It was such a wonderful way to connect that I want to help you host an ornament party too. I've put all of our wood ornaments and a selection of our holiday collage sheets ON SALE (will be posted later today or tomorrow)! I'm even tucking in "handmade with love" wood buttons (NEW) and/or tags with every order!
Wishing you a wonderful handmade holiday season! See you next week with more fun and creativity! : )

I love the photo of Bruno! I sent it to my coworkers. I love to make comments of what I think the animal is saying. This is what I came up with for this photo.....
“Oh my creative wonderfulness is just too much. I can’t believe myself. Meeeeooooowwwww. “
