I was at the Portland Art & Soul for a Zentangle class. Possibly we passed by in the halls! Didn't get to make it to Vendor night worse luck. I'd love to win these these papers and transparencies. Thank you for the chance to win!

I've never been to an art convention or retreat, but I'm going to "ARTzona" 2013, an event in Arizona organized by some folks who are active on the ATCs for All website. I'm a mixed media collage fool right now, making lots of goodies to take for trading. It's why I just ordered a bunch of new stuff from you. But one can never have enough. LOL

Marilyn Hughes

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I've never been lucky enough to attend an art convention or retreat. Everything is way too far away from me.

What wonderful papers and transparencies. Hmmmm, wonder what it would take to get some shipped to the US.

Sabine Busch

Lovely papers and transparencies!
There are only 2 stamping conventions in Germany ("Stempelmesse Süd" in Stuttgart in April and "Stempelmekka" in Hagen in September but there is another in the Netherlands in April "Art Specially Event" in Zeist in April - there we can buy some of your goodies at the booth of "Art Journey"

Super photos of your wonderful time away - LOVE the house themed shapes and blocks :)

I haven't been to any art conventions or retreats so I really am the green-eyed (jealous) monster!

I went to a couple of art retreats in McCall many years back. Unfortunatly they don't do them anymore ;0(.
Would Love to attend Art & Soul though!
How sweet of Jen to share those transparencies.

I love all the house themed art here and the Collections papers look yummy! I was so lucky to get to attend Artfest near Seattle several times and will miss it dearly now that it's ended.

Oooooh yes, I´d love to meet you at the Stempelmekka next September ;-)))

I agree, Art and Soul was great fun, and I also did the tour of Alberta Street. Found a wonderful gallery at the end of the street- Guardino's, or something like that. Really fun art!

Mary Wilkins

Oooo Helga! You have the most wonderful prizes you give away. Again, whisper to the kitties that Mary is dying to win something! By the way, I love that you are doing the houses much fun to play with.

I have never been to a ART Retreat but I would love too! I did take a class from Tim Holtz this summer. Does that count?? I do have a question! Can a person sell what is made from your items? I would love to win a prize.

ART retreats! how wonderful! sad to say, I've never been on one:( but maybe one day! I especially love the washi cool is that Helga!!!
glad you had a great time:)

Surprisingly, though I've been to many, many art conventions and retreats, one of the best I've ever experienced is QuiltFest, which is held in Houston, TX each year in late October/early November. (I think there's also one in California). I've never quilted in my life, but it is WAY more than just quilting, and the quilts they do have can only be described as "ART quilts." There are literally over 1,000 vendors and hundreds of classes, and the Cloth Paper Scissors people always have mixed-media events (I took classes with Tracy Bautista and Beryl Taylor), contests and art trades. I spent over an hour in a booth that sold vintage jewelry, buttons, keys, etc. and got some great treasures. It's easy to get overwhelmed with all the possibilities!

One day I'll get to "Art and Soul" - it's on my bucket list!

Helga...the new ideas are fantastic. I have never been to an art retreat...I'm not sure if they even have them in New York? I love the new house cutouts and all your new ideas. You are such an inspiration! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!

The last art retreat I went to was Artful Journey in Jacksonville Fl 2005. Don't know if this is the same Artful Journey event coming up in February 2013 in California, which is offering some excellent workshops. As always, your tiny creations are amazing. Love the new house head is spinning with ideas to use them. I will be browsing the shop now. Thanks for sharing your art.

Monica lovely to get an option to win these !! Thank you ! Crossing fingers that I could be the lucky one...

I love your house projects. I have purchased several of them already and just waiting for some inspiration to use them. Think I found some! I have never been to a retreat, not that I wouldnt love to go, but it does involve a good bit of cash. I do travel as far away as 3 hrs, however, to attend every stamp and scrapbook show. Love them, love their make and takes and love all those yummy products in one place.
