Hello dear friends!
I've missed you! It feels good to be back home! : )
While I was in the Bahamas, I saw so many pretty birds. Look at this one sitting on a branch. Such a delight!
I met up with my dear friend, Paula Boyd Farrington. (She's the beauty on the left).
A big thank you to Paula because she got me started on making this vision/ dream board while I was on vacation. What a wonderful experience! I'll work on putting a class together for it in the future so you can make one too. : )
Need a fun, easy, Summer art project to do with friends, family, kids and/or teens? These bracelets are just the ticket! All you need is beads, elastic cord and Super Glue.
Simply string beads onto elastic cord. And then knot a few times and secure with a dab of glue. My friend, Mara, and I spent an afternoon making a bunch. We had a blast!
You don't even need matching beads...any beads that you have on hand will do. For this bracelet, I just strung on various beads in shades of green.
You can wear 1 bracelet or stack 'em for more fun!
Do you see this adorable ceramic kitty mermaid? I found him at a little street fair in San Francisco. Does he remind you of someone? : )
It got me to thinking that I'd love to be able to turn my kitties into mermaids. So, I started collaging and painting wood boards...and had my honey cut out some mermaid tails. Then, I printed some pics of my cats...
Ta da! Bruno and Inca as Kitty Mermaids! Meranimals! Catfish! lol.
Speaking of mermaids, check out this gorgeous collage by Paula. It has so many incredible details that I just had to share it with you too! I have turned it into a sheet of special, limited-edition mermaid stickers! Get them with your purchase of $25 or more for a limited time only.
Win this Marvelous Mermaids Pack! It includes our new Classic Mermaids Wood Cuts, Handmade Mermaid Tails by moi, Mermaid Faux Post, Mermaid Paper Dolls and even a little heart rock coral from the Bahamas. Woohoo!
Simply post a comment with your favorite things that start with the letter "M." My kitties will pick a winner next Wednesday.
See you next week when I'll be sharing a special project on gratitude. : )
