Recently, my Mom (Karen Strauss) and aunt (Dianna Rapp) had a fun girls art day together. My aunt wanted to make some gifts for friends but she loved everything so much that she had to keep a few for herself. lol. Here is a lovely owl necklace that they made with Large Baroque Photo Charm, Birds & Branches collage sheet and Large Oval Acrylic Bubble.

Here is another cute necklace that they made with Large Baroque Photo Charm, Birds & Branches collage sheet and Large Oval Acrylic Bubble. Note: they said that they used Beacon's 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue: Crystal Clear, Instant Grab, Fast Dry Glue (purchased at Michaels Craft Store) to attach the acrylic bubbles. They said it was similar to E6000 but lighter. Hmmm...I think I'll need to get some of this glue. : )
...
Super cute earrings to match! These are made with Medium Dot Oval Photo Charms (should be back in stock any day now), Birds & Branches collage sheet and Medium Oval Acrylic Bubble. The yellow discs are actually vintage czech buttons. Love!

Love these happy earrings! These are also made with Medium Dot Oval Photo Charms, Birds & Branches collage sheet and Medium Oval Acrylic Bubble.
Thanks for sharing these with us, Mom and Aunt DeeDee! : )

Next month, ARTchix Studio is turning 10! Can you believe it?! I'm so proud, excited and over the moon! Thank you for supporting me to do what I love for 10 whole years. I have a favor to ask of you. Right now, I'm focused on designing some fantastic new products and planning out some special handmade gifts that I want to make for our 10 year birthday.
You all have such excellent ideas. Can you please help me with some ideas on ways we can celebrate together? Perhaps ideas that play off the number 10? An online party of some sort? Are there party games you can play online? Help! lol.
Please leave a comment with your ideas on how we can all celebrate together. Really appreciate it. : )
Congratulations Helga! You deserve all the success in the world! You have made Artchix a great place to get awesome art supplies and have made it a place where artists can come from all over and share their love of art! So, thank YOU!
My idea is to hold a contest for people to create a piece of art celebrating your 10th year. And of course incorporate the number 10 and Artchix in the piece! :)
all the best for many more years!
hugs,
Peg E.

Congratulations! Since garlands/banners are such a great way to celebrate, how about making one with 10 flags? They can be mini. :). For a game, how about naming your 10 favorite art supplies?

Congratulations on ten years of stellar service & cool art findings!!
10 years ago, when I first started buying from you, I was looking for CANADIAN vendors to support. I was thrilled when I found you just a hop, skip and a jump away on the island. Over the years, I've purchased lots of wonderful things both by mail order and oftentimes without you even knowing it. (I purchase your collage sheets, transparancies, sticker sheet, etc. at Urban Source alot.)
I wish you many, many more years of prosperity and inspiration. You are most deserving!
And thank you for the win! I look forward to working with your wonderful wood houses!

Love the idea of art featuring number '10'! Ten birds, ten teacups, ten butterflies, ten girls in vintage swimsuits, ten tiaras (or 'tea-aras'!--teacups on artchix heads!) could be mounted on artist canvas, or an accordion book... even though I'm just recently acquainted w/ you, I'm excited to know you now, and congratulations on making ArtChix ICONIC! Helga, you're fantastic! (no game ideas right now, but I'll email back if I think of something). xox

Ten things I LOVE about Artchix......
1. Helga
2. Jackie
3. Your animals
4. The contests
5. The quality
6. The candy
7. The inspiration
8. The collage sheets (so glad you still print them)
9. Your Blog
10. ...and James, of course!

Wow Helga, 10 years! That is fabulous! I use ARTChix almost exclusively now in my collage art because you are one of the best companies out there. Love the candy, the products and your pets. Oh, and you too!
For an idea, how about the ARTChix Muse through the past 10 years. She is always an inspiration for me when I can't think of anything else to use and would love to see how she has morphed into her current image.

Congrats on 10 years....I'd love to see some tag books with 10 tags....used in different ways and full of ARTChix goodness :)

Ohhh, this is weird - I posted yesterday, but I don't see my comment today. Anyway, congrats on 10 years - has it really been that long? - my goodness! And I can't wait to see what you come up with for us to help you celebrate!

Helga, how about you giving a challenge to create something using 10 ARTchix items to celebrate 10 years of ARTchix goodess? participants could share on their blog and add a link on your challenge post as a comment. It would be fun to see all the 10 different artchix items people might use!
Congratulations, this is a wonderful milestone.

Fantastic stuff Helga, Congrats on your own personal decade of crafty goodness ! Here's to the next 10. How about the numerals 1 and 0 in many styles used as a basis for a piece of art !

Congratulations Helga! I'm so glad I've come across yr site 7+ years ago -- and so happy that some things (like yr sunny personality and the fantastic goodies and the super fast service) still remain the same, while some things have even gotten better ( like the sharing and the challenges on fb). As far as ideas go, mine for my niece who turned 10 last summer was to wrap 10 little packages and make riddles for each one --she had to guess what the 'main' feature was for each package before she opened it -- I hadn't even told her parents, so at the party there was a lot of fun and laughter as everyone joined with guesses.Just an idea..:)

Oh how awesome Helga! Congratulations! You have worked so hard and made such a fabulous company!

Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary! Hands Down Artchix has to be the best mixed media collage shoppe ever! I have been a fan long before facebook ever showed up....think it was since 2006. A lot of others have faded off into the sunset, including a lot of popular magazines...they just don't seem to have the same staying power as you do....Please know we always will and do appreciate the wonderful things you do for us with your great products and your stellar creativity!
10 is known as the Diamond anniversary...you and your team are all diamonds in my opinion...maybe a project with some sparkly things on it from the shop....They also say tin or aluminum works too, perhaps we could all design one art project made out of a tin cookie cutter shape?
For ideas, how about a new SWAP using the top ten best all time Artchix products....of course No 1 has to be the Spoil Me girl...we haven't had a swap in such a long time, sure would be fun to have an anniversary swap even if the swap doesn't end until 2012.
We could all collage up the number 10 (like some other have said) with any of the creative collage sheets from Artchix.
Best of luck for the next 10 Helga! Your indeed are the best out there!

Wow 10 Years-CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I have been a huge fan of your products, projects, swaps, creative inspiration since I discovered you thru ARTitude Zine(I still have all my issues and peruse thru them once in awhile).
I so appreciate the opportunities you give us; my purchases from ARTchix arrives faster than some places here in the states where I live and the packages contain the nicest, most generous touches with a piece of candy, art, and extra goodies!
Thank you for all the heart and soul you, your family,Jackie and your team put into making ARTchix Studio the ultimate, and thanks to your furry children who always keep us smiling. xo,Linda
I like the idea of using the #10-how about if we make 10 ATCs using some of our fave ARTchix products and then sending one to you and each of the remaining ATCs out as a RAK to pay it forward?
