Lately, I've been playing with our Mini Eco Houses. They're such a wonderful size to play with! You'll see below that I've been adding charms to them and stringing them up for a lovely garland. I wanted you to have a chance to enjoy them too so I whipped up this cute, little collage sheet for you.

As I mentioned, I've been making fun charms and adding them onto our Mini Eco Houses. Before sewing on the charms, I rubber stamped them with a cool design. These were just some of the over 100 charms I made for our special gifts with purchase over the weekend. I loved doing this! They're all gone now...winging their way to my dear chixies. I sure hope everyone enjoys them. : )

As always, my fluffy helper was in the studio. Bruno entertained me while I finished up these peace charms that included our Mini Colorful Bells.

Art and Soul Retreat is in Portland, Oregon, at the end of September. Oh, how I wish I could go! It's sooo much fun! Alas, I can't make it but I've been putting together some wonderful Make 'N Takes for the attendees: Mini House Garland Kits.
I needed to make a Mini House Garland as a sample for the show. So, let me show you what I made. I must tell you....I had a blast doing this! It is sooo inspiring to limit yourself to just a tiny bag of goodies to play with.
First, I pulled out everything in the kit and started cutting out words that I was drawn to.
...
Next, I started pulling images that I was drawn to and started cutting them up.
...
For the background, I put the Mini Eco Houses onto a background sheet and traced them with a pencil.
.....
Next, I cut them all out and glued the backgrounds to the Mini Eco Houses using a gluestick.
.....
I painted on a thin layer of gesso and let them dry.
.....
Next, I started gluing the words and images onto the houses. I made circles with my circle template and Micron marker.
.....
Finishing details were a bit of watercolor crayon on the edges and in the circles.
.....
Ta da! A cute Mini House Garland!
