I heart Postage Stamps!
I am in love with our new collage sheets that feature some of my postage stamp collection: Hot Post, Cool Post, Sepia Post and Colorful Post. Here's how I designed these sheets....
First, I pulled out my postage stamp collection and started laying them out on sheets in similar colors. Inca planted herself in the middle of it all. When I took this photo of her, I was struck by how much she looks like our new Eco Chunky Cat.
...
I wanted to make a quick, colorful background before gluing my stamps down. So, I scribbled with watercolor crayons.
...
Then blended them with a wet watercolor brush.
...
Then I glued down my postage stamps. Voila, Hot Post! It was so fun, just like a puzzle! Now, I've got these sheets of postage stamps that I can use any way I like. So happy about that! They're perfect for backgrounds...punching out shapes...or use the individual stamps for little art projects. So handy!
You can make your own sheets like these or you can buy mine, I've done all of the work for you. : )

Have fun on your cruise! You will have many wonderful photo ops. I hope your kitties won't be biased against the artwork I'm entering for the postage stamp challenge--you'll understand why when you look at it. LOL! Here's a link to my blog where I've posted the piece.

What a cute video - thanks Stella and Helga for picking me! Inca does look just like that eco cat, but softer and cuddlier! Helga, have a wonderful time on your Alaskan cruise - that sounds amazing! Please share pictures and stories with us - your mom is a jewel for giving you such a wonderful gift! Experiences and memories make the most meaningful gifts I think.
