New Art Challenge (#1 in my new Color Series):
Make a Monochromatic Twinchie
I'd like to invite you to take a trip around the color wheel with me this month. I'll be hosting fun art challenges and activities relating to color, I'm so excited about this!
To kick things off, join me in making a monochromatic (one color) twinchie (2" square collage). Here's how I made mine:
First, I picked my color for this collage: green! So, I pulled out an assortment of green papers and images, green watercolor crayons and pens, etc. Along with our Watercolor Cards, of course.
Shown here are our Green Decorative Papers, Gorgeous Green Nature, Lily of the Valley and Mini Wishes (the 3 images that I have glued to my twinchie).

MoMo and Bruno hung out with me while I folded and ripped my green papers into strips. Good therapy! lol.

I glued all of my paper strips into place and then I added dots and bits of green color with watercolor crayons, pencils and pens. I love coloring in our Mini Wishes images with watercolor crayon.

And here it is on display. I couldn't resist showing off this cool altered clothespin that Jackie made. See how it has a little mini clothespin attached so I hung a green inchie (1" square collage) off of it. Love this idea! : )

Thanks Mary! Loved your twinchies! We are working on making the bingo games for all of the swap participants so it's taking us a bit of time. But all of the swap packages should be mailed by the end of next week at the latest. Can't wait for you to see everything! The Bingo game is sooo awesome! : )

Yikes - I have been art-deprived lately (went on vacation) and just couldn't wait to get into my studio, so my twinchie is done already! (Ridiculous, right? Somebody stop me!)
